HealthSouth Walton Rehabilitation Hospital’s unique approach to rehabilitation involves a team of experts
with extensive experience in today’s most advanced therapeutic methods and technologies. Whether the
patient is recovering from a stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, hip fracture or amputation, hospital staff
works with every patient individually, tailoring a plan to help the patient reach his or her most optimal level of
independence.

TEAM APPROACH: An important key to success in
rehabilitation is HealthSouth Walton’s team approach.
The hospital is equipped with a diverse team of experts
working together to combine their specialties to best
benefit each patient. The team works to develop a treat-
ment plan for physical, cognitive and emotional needs.
Patients receive 15 hours of intense therapy each week,
24-hour care by registered nurses and frequent visits by
a physician specialized in rehabilitation medicine.

TARGETED TREATMENT PLANS: Patients are evaluated
by the hospital’s team of rehabilitation professionals.
Each patient’s treatment plan is designed to accomplish
his or her therapeutic goals through a sequence of
measurable and achievable steps.

SEAL OF APPROVAL: HealthSouth Walton’s
stroke rehabilitation program has earned dis-
ease-specific care certification from The Joint
Commission through an assessment of the pro-
gram’s processes, the program’s ability to evalu-
ate and improve care within its own organization,
and interviews with patients and staff.
