The Lowcountry Area Agency on Aging (AAA) and the  Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) both  work under the guidance of  State Unit on Aging, known as the SC Lt. Governor’s Office on Aging (LGOA) to provide assistance and services to eligible seniors and disabled persons. The Area Agency on Aging identifies the needs of seniors and disabled persons and existing services available. The Area Agency on Aging prepares a plan to meet these needs of the senior population.
